Research Role

Researcher

Researchers are the analytical core of WYI. You conduct policy research within a national team, contribute to publications, and engage with an international network of peers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and collaborative policy research on assigned topics
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of WYI policy briefs and working papers
  • Participate in regular team meetings and cross-national research exchanges
  • Review and provide feedback on research produced by fellow team members
  • Represent WYI's research standards in all written and public work

Leadership Role

National Ambassador

Ambassadors are WYI's national representatives. You build and lead your country's research team, coordinate research activities, and serve as the primary liaison to the global WYI leadership.

Ambassadors lead their country's WYI chapter, coordinate research, and represent WYI nationally.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, build, and manage a national research team of 3–8 researchers
  • Coordinate research activities and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Represent WYI at national, regional, and international policy forums and events
  • Liaise regularly with the WYI global leadership board on strategy and direction
  • Promote WYI's work and expand the organisation's presence in your country
  • Support researchers in their development and ensure team cohesion
