Two ways to
contribute to WYC.

Whether you want to lead a national chapter or contribute analytical work to an international research team, we have a role for you. Both positions are voluntary and open to applicants worldwide.

Research Role

Researcher

Researchers are the analytical core of WYC. You conduct policy research within a national team, contribute to publications, and engage with an international network of peers.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent and collaborative policy research on assigned topics
  • Contribute to the drafting and editing of WYC policy briefs and working papers
  • Participate in regular team meetings and cross-national research exchanges
  • Review and provide feedback on research produced by fellow team members
  • Represent WYC's research standards in all written and public work

Time commitment: Approx. 4–6 hours per week. Fully remote and flexible around your studies or work schedule.

Leadership Role

National Ambassador Ψ

Ambassadors are WYC's national representatives. You build and lead your country's research team, coordinate research activities, and serve as the primary liaison to the global WYC leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, build, and manage a national research team of 3–8 researchers
  • Coordinate research activities and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Represent WYC at national, regional, and international policy forums and events
  • Liaise regularly with the WYC global leadership board on strategy and direction
  • Promote WYC's work and expand the organisation's presence in your country
  • Support researchers in their development and ensure team cohesion
